Morpheme Quest 2

Morphology isn't a fad. It isn't for older students. It isn't just extension work. It is vital for all students to build deep reading and spelling knowledge.

The 2nd student workbook in our series is finally here, and bigger and better than ever!

We listened to everything our customers had to say and incorporated the things you loved about MQ1, but tweaked the thing you wanted changed, added, and more of.
More games, more review, more pages for each affix.
This time around MQ2 has 4-5 pages for each prefix, root and suffix, there are so many evidence-based activites; focus stories, crosswords, cloze activities, morpheme matrix, word sums, hands on card games, vocabulary building, comprehension activites and so much more. This is the student workbook that takes the guess work out of teaching morphology confidently!

Designed by a Dyslexia specialist teacher, this workbook is research and evidence-based, Australian Curriculum aligned, and incorporates MSL (kinaesthetic learning) strategies. We know that the brain learns best through Explicit Direct Instructional (EDI) approaches, reduction of cognitive load during learning and regular reviews of information, spaced appropriately, to store new information in long-term memory. 'Morpheme Quest 2' links the Science of Reading and 'how our brain learns' to engage students while teaching common morphemes.

English is a morphophonemic language, and any exceptional teaching program should incorporate phonology, morphology and Etymology to achieve success in reading. Studies suggest students with Dyslexia struggle with phonemic awareness and identifying phonemes (sounds) in words, and can find reading easier by identifying larger chunks within words instead (morphemes).
